Dorchester man arrested, busted with over 300 grams of cocaine and fentanyl

On Monday, December 23, officers arrested and charged a Dorchester man with multiple drug trafficking offenses.

At 9:15 a.m. officers conducted search warrants for the locations of 220 Hamilton Street, 10 Michigan Avenue, and a traffic stop at 314 Bowdoin Street.

This was part of an ongoing investigation against 41-year-old Martin Alcantara of Dorchester.

Upon conducting the traffic stop at 314 Bowdoin Street, Alcantara, and his vehicle were located. Officers found:

  • Two plastic bags of fentanyl concealed in Alcantara’s mouth.

  • A plastic bag of fentanyl hidden in his underwear.

  • Loose crack cocaine found inside his wallet

Alongside that, the two residences that were searched found additional amounts of fentanyl and cocaine, materials for packaging and delivery, and an undisclosed sum of money.

Alcantara was placed in custody and is being charged with:

  • Trafficking in Fentanyl (100 grams or more, less than 200 grams)

  • Trafficking in Cocaine (200 grams or more)

  • Possession of Class B Substances with Intent to Distribute

Alcantara is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
