A new hotel in Wildwood has taken home an award that no other in the region has ever won.
Madison Resort Wildwood Crest was recently named the top new hotel in a USA Today 10Best listing. A panel of travel experts nominated their top picks for hotel openings and hotels transformed by major renovations over the past year and a half, then readers voted for their favorites until a winner was crowned.

According to a press release from Madison Resorts, no other hotel in South Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia area has ever received this distinction.
Madison Resort Wildwood Crest was opened in May of 2024 after the original building, the Oceanview Motel, which was purchased and demolished in 2022. The neighboring Royal Hawaiian Motel was purchased in 2023 and used to expand the vision of Madison Resorts.

The renovation project for Madison Resort Wildwoo Crest cost $54 million. It offers 200 rooms, two pools, two restaurants, a wedding and event space, beach access and complimentary shuttle services around Wildwood.

No other hotel from New Jersey or the tri-state area was represented in the 17 other hotels chosen for this category.
