Authorities rush to Loma Linda hospital amid reports of possible active shooter

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to Loma Linda Hospital Wednesday evening following unconfirmed reports of a possible shooter.

The Sheriff’s Department released a statement via social media around 6:35 p.m. in which it said it was aware of reports of a “possible armed individual.”

Deputies were on the scene and actively clearing the facility, officials said. Videos from SKy5 showed a massive police presence with dozens of police vehicles and video from social media showed law enforcement helicopters flying overhead.
