Missouri Governor Parson signs executive order ahead of winter storm

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Governor Mike Parson signed Executive Order 25-01 on Friday, as winter weather nears the state of Missouri.

The order will suspend service requirements for commercial vehicles that transport heating fuel like propane, natural gas and heating oil. The Order can also activate the Missouri National Guard, if necessary.

“With a hazardous winter storm forecasted for this weekend, we want to be prepared to respond however may be needed,” Parson said.

“Missourians should be proactive in their preparations and so too should state government. This Order helps ensure Missourians’ homes stay heated and that state government and our National Guard members stand ready to assist. We ask that all Missourians stay aware and use extreme caution during this potentially dangerous winter weather event.”

Executive Order 25-01 will expire on January 13, 2025.
