Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed captain Kyle Walker has asked to leave the club.
Walker, 34, was left out of City’s squad for Saturday’s 8-0 FA Cup win over Salford.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: “He’d like to explore another country to play his last years, for many reasons. And for that reason, I preferred playing other players.”
Walker joined City from Tottenham in a £50m deal in 2017.
