LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A small plane carrying four people crashed south of the Las Vegas valley Sunday morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
Just before 8:40 a.m., CCFD responded to reports of an off-field aircraft crash a few miles north of Jean on Las Vegas Boulevard.
When fire crews arrived, they found a small, single-engine plane that was involved in a low-impact crash after failing to maintain altitude, according to CCFD.
There were a total of four people on the plane including the pilot and three passengers. CCFD said one passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
CCFD said the FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
